Each student will develop his/her own blog for the purpose of preserving their year in 1st grade, as well as enhancing writing skills and becoming comfortable with the computer and with publishing their works.
You can be as creative as you like! You may include photos, upload your own artwork, or even a video! You will be given a new assignment each week to complete.
You will be graded on the current trimester's 20 point writing ruberic:
- 3 or more logically sequenced and focused sentences (8 pts)
- standard and inventive spelling (2 pts)
- capitalization (2 pts)
- punctuation (2 pts)
- spacing (2 pts)
- descriptive language (3 pts)
- combined/extended sentences (1 pt)
